Element: Thoroughfare
Issue: Places to Play
Rambles are green spaces on the interior of a block. They exist at the center of a rear lane loop. Because they are left in a natural, non-manicured state, kids can do all of the things that they once did in the woods, like building forts, etc. But because they are behind the houses, parents can monitor their children much more easily than if the kids were playing in the woods. And because they are playing on the interior of the block, they are invisible to anyone driving down the street.
